TLF’s Site/Civil Department has been turning out Civil Engineering projects for as long as we’ve been in business. And like our other departments, they’ve designed solutions big and small, for clients who’ve needed anything from a sidewalk and a few more parking spaces, to complete Site/Civil design services for large commercial/industrial applications. What’s unique about this group is the diversity of projects on their resume, and the tasks they performed within those projects.

In most situations - and on the vast majority of projects, a Site/Civil group serves as one member of a design team. TLF has filled that role in dozens of situations since 1991. Where this group differs from most is when a project is primarily or completely Site/Civil in nature. In those situations, our Site/Civil Department has the experience, the skills and the tools to serve the client not only with design services, but also in a project management role. That capability has enabled TLF to expand the scope of what we can offer our clients. But more importantly, we’re able to reduce their costs.

When a project is completely Site/Civil, TLF’s Site/Civil group can design and manage the project for the client. But some Site/Civil projects still require contributions from other design disciplines. In those types of situations, our Site/Civil group manages the project, calling on the services of the other disciplines as needed. And in most cases, we can do that from within TLF, utilizing our structural, landscape architecture and/or industrial facilities design services to complete the job.

TLF’s Site/Civil Department is a many-splendored thing. From the diversity of the types of projects to their capabilities within the projects themselves, it’s just another way TLF is able to serve our clients, saving them time, expense and effort.
