Structural Project
Indianapolis International Airport Parking Structure
TLF was chosen to be the Structural Engineer on this landmark project, which consists of over 2.5 million square feet of parking, and provides access to various ground transportation options. The parking structure is a five level, cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete structure with 7,200 parking spaces. Eight elevators, four escalators and four moving walkways located in the central light well serve patrons moving between the public parking levels and the designated rental car facilities on the first level.
The Ground Transportation Center building is a 20,000 square foot structural steel frame structure with 25-foot clear height, and serves as the home for all rental car operations and ground transportation needs. Direct access from the third level of the parking structure and Ground Transportation Center to the airport terminal is accomplished by a 300-foot long pedestrian bridge.
