Landscape Architecture

The talent that TLF’s Landscape Architecture department brings to our company and our clients is second only to the diversity of their skills. Experienced in everything from intimate corporate courtyard designs to site master plans for large real estate developments, this group has one other trait that bears mentioning: discernment.

These days, local ordinances almost always mandate some sort of landscape minimums. And, depending on the project, that may be all a client needs. Other times, a prospective customer’s first impression of the client is influenced by what he or she sees outside, before they ever walk in the door. In situations like these, an experienced landscape architect has already cast the client in a good light.

Where discernment comes in is knowing when the minimum is appropriate, and when it’s not. But it doesn’t stop there.

When a client says that, yes, the landscape has to be top notch, the landscape architect’s decisions are crucial. What should be planted? What constitutes too much or too little? Does it all fit together? Does the final product create the image the client wants? To really answer those questions, coordination with the client is essential. And TLF does that.

But there are still more considerations to be weighed, and again, a discerning landscape architect will address them: What’s the up-front price tag? What about maintenance?

TLF’s Landscape Architects have been working with clients and answering those questions for years. They have the experience to understand how it should all fit together, the discernment to know when to go big - and when not to, and the talent to get it done.
