Caesar's Indiana - Shoreside Pavilion Caesar's Indiana - Shoreside Pavilion

Shoreside Pavilion Building:
  • 3 level structure, with the supported levels designed as composite concrete and structural steel framing with over 200,000 s.f. of floor space utilized for restaurants, offices, retail shops, and support functions.
  • TLF performed value-engineering studies on the original design to develop a more efficient structural framing system resulting in a significant cost savings for the project.
  • Final construction cost for this building was $56 million.
  • Fast-tracked "phased construction" project with initial design starting on July 21, 1998, steel erection starting on September 14, 1998 and Phase I occupied November 1, 1998. The remaining phases were completed by February 2000.
Parking Garage:
  • Parking structure consists of over 500,000 s.f. of parking on four levels. The garage was designed as a precast concrete structure utilizing precast T-beams and girders.
  • TLF was responsible for the foundation design, the slab design and the design of the support framing for the mechanical rooms.
  • Fast-tracked "phased construction" project that started in April of 1998 and was operational in November of 1998.
Pedestrian Connector:
  • Pedestrian connector is a 465-foot-long by 30-foot-wide elevated walkway connecting the parking garage with the Pavilion building.
  • TLF provided building design and structural engineering design services.
  • The pedestrian connector has over 400 feet of double moving walkways and a dual level floor system to accommodate the walkway systems.
  • Structural frame is composed of heavy steel box trusses, with spans up to 100 feet, and is seismically independent from both adjacent structures by use of a cantilevered end truss design.
  • In addition to the loading criteria required by the moving walkways, the structure was analyzed and designed for strict vibration requirements imposed by the Owner.
  • Construction cost for the pedestrian connector was $1.75 million.
